Within the city, without the city.... amidst nature.
A client with a breathtaking site and a need to maximize space, desired to create a living space out of the ordinary. The result was an architectural intent that rests in a rustic splendor where the “exquisite” is blended with the “simple”. The design has been a culmination of the architects understanding of the site and its influences, its surroundings, the client, his requirements and his lifestyle. Larger openings and corner windows were conceptualized to maximize the views of the surroundings. Pergolas and details in the cladding were used to scale down the built form. Natural earthy materials were used with the intent to create a presence, blending in with the surroundings. Sit-outs and balconies were designed to create a flow of space between the exterior and the interiors.
